MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! I hope you have all had a great few days eating, drinking and being merry. As ever, the festive season flashes past in a blur and I can’t believe it is going to be 2016 in a few days time. I […]
Month: December 2015
Tis’ the season to be jolly! (Falalalalalalalala!) While December brings with it lots of warm fuzzy feelings; it also brings with it ALL the parties, dinners and dancing associated with the festive season. Whether it’s a works night out, Christmas dinner or New Year celebrations, […]
Life can be a funny old thing sometimes. Just when you think an opportunity has been and gone, you get a phone call out of the blue with an offer you can’t refuse…
A few months ago, I got a very unexpected phonecall offering me a new job. No more lost hours spent stuck in traffic on the M8, more time gained in the evenings AND less hormonal teenagers? I’d be daft to say no! My new role is as a lecturer at a local college and, after a few weeks on the job, it’s safe to say I made the right decision. However, leaving somewhere where you have worked for over 2 years is always going to be hard. It was difficult to say goodbye to the amazing pupils, staff and friends I have worked with, but sometimes you need to take a leap of faith into the unknown. It’s these moments that keep life interesting!
With the stress of moving jobs, and life being so busy, sewing, and blogging, have taken a bit of a back seat. I have only managed to complete a few garments this year which isn’t great for creating content. But, I am hoping that now I am back into the swing of things I will hopefully have more time to dedicate to making and writing.
When I started writing it was to keep me sewing and to push me to achieve better final garments. Going back to the sewing machine after 4 month hiatus is a pretty daunting task. I hope I haven’t forgotten how to thread the bobbin!
As you may also notice, I have given my site a bit of a facelift. Although I loved my other blog design ( Thanks Paw!) I felt it was time for a change and I needed to give Wee & Twee a makeover. I am by no means a Web Designer, but I think I done a decent job considering my severe lack of knowledge and amateur status!
So, will this new job see me getting back to sewing? God, I hope so. I have so many unfinished projects ( YES, I am still working on my jacket and NO I don’t know when I’ll get it finished!!) that I want to complete before starting on something new. So my aim for December is to try and get them completed in time for the New Year.
So, what do you think of the new look? I hope you like it.
